Thomas Jones attributes his business success to .the values of life and honest work. he was taught by his parents (a union steelworker and a loving mother) and .good old fashioned customer service. he learned at Isaly.s as a youth.

In 1970, Jones co-founded Jones-Rogers, Inc., a HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) company in northern Virginia. Under his guidance, J-R today is a recognized leader in this industry in the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Jones and his company have been honored for its business management, customer service and community involvement.

Following high school, Jones earned a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering from Gateway Technical Institute in Pittsburgh. He then moved to Washington, D.C., in 1962 to work in the HVAC field. A steady worker and a quick learner, Jones earned distinction as a technician and was acknowledged for his quality fieldwork and ambition.

Jones and his former partner started Jones-Rogers in a small storefront in Vienna, VA. Shortly thereafter, Jones purchased his partner.s share of stock. Over the next 42 years, Jones-Rogers has gained a reputation for providing quality design, installation and service work for heating and air conditioning.

Over the years, the company has provided indoor comfort solutions to the homes of tens of thousands of residential customers in addition to business, governmental and medical offices.

Jones-Rogers received the prestigious Carrier Distinguished Dealer Award in 1996. Worldwide, there are only 64 Carrier Distinguished Dealers. Lennox Industries has recognized his company for its performance and quality service as a Lennox Premier Dealer and Lennox Centurion Dealer, the latter of which is a distinction held only by the top 100 Lennox dealers nationwide. Locally, Jones- Rogers has earned acclaim for its sponsorship of youth sports organizations and community service.

Individually, Jones has contributed to emerging technological advances in HVAC controls and condensing units as a director on the board of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.s (ACCA) National Capitol Chapter. He also has served on Honeywell and Carrier product advisory boards.

Community involvement is also important to Jones. He has volunteered as a coach in the Vienna Little League girls. softball program. He is an annual supporter of food banks at Community of Faith United Methodist Church in Virginia and another one in Pittsburgh and also of Northern Virginia firefighter organizations. He also has contributed his support to a variety of outreach programs internationally across Latin America.

Currently, Jones spends his time between homes in Ormond Beach, FL, and Champion, PA, with his wife of 21 years, Elvita, as he transitions into a senior advisory role at Jones-Rogers.

Jones is the father to two sons, Eric and Jeffrey, who will be taking over the reins at Jones-Rogers as he retires. To his daughter Kelley, he is a proud the grandfather of three . Evan, Sidney and Caroline.
